Malcolm has lived in the West Country all his life and after qualifying as a solicitor in 1981 he has worked at partner level in a number of leading firms in the area, as well as for one of the ‘Big Four’ accountancy firms. This has given him extensive experience in all aspects of private client work, from more straightforward Wills and estate administration to specialist estate and tax planning.
The challenges of family business and farming succession planning are of particular interest to Malcolm, and he enjoys working with individuals and getting to know them and their families to provide them with confidence and understanding in their legal affairs.
He is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and the Law Society’s Private Client Section, as well as being a Dementia Champion.
In his spare time, as well as enjoying family life, Malcolm is a keen wildlife gardener (any excuse not to cut the grass!), walker and birdwatcher, with particular interests in all aspects of nature conservation and the islands of the Bristol Channel.
Malcolm divides his time between our Midsomer Norton and Frome offices.
