It's that time of year again, summer is coming to an end, and the Wessex Beer & Cider Festival in Chilcompton is coming! 

The festival, organised by the Somer Valley Rotary Club is in its 12th Year, and this marks the 5th year that we at FDC Law have contributed by sponsoring a barrel. 

The festival is an opportunity to taste a wide range of beers and ciders - this year there are over 25 beers and over 30 ciders, including 'our' barrel  -  Thistly Cross Brewery's 'Jaggy Thistle' cider, which we are looking forward to tasting on the day!

As well as providing an opportunity to taste lots of locals (and less local!) beer  and cider, and to socialise and enjoy live music, the festival offers the opportunity to help the Rotary Club to raise money for local and international charities. According to Alan Bowhay, the Beer Festival Chair, the Festival raised over £6,000 last year, and the club is hoping to beat that, with this year's festival.
