We are delighted to announce that Abigail Whelan, who has qualified as a solicitor on the 1st November 2019, will be staying with the firm post-qualification, working within our Civil Litigation and Family departments. Abigail is the firm’s first trainee solicitor in recent years.
Abigail joined FDC Law in 2017 as a paralegal before starting her training contract, during which she was initially based in our Private Client team, followed by time working with the Litigation and Family departments.
Prior to joining FDC Law, Abigail studied Law at the University of Cardiff and went on to complete her Legal Practice Course at the University of the West of England. Abigail has strong local links, and outside of the law, Abigail has a particular interest in literature and Rugby (watching, not playing!).
The head of the Family Department, Marjorie Taylor said “We are delighted to have Abigail with us following her training and qualification as a solicitor. She is a valued member of the team and is quickly building a trusted client base in both family and civil litigation.”
Managing Partner, Jonathan Wood, added “I would like to congratulate Abigail on qualifying as a solicitor. We are looking forward to having her with us and have been impressed with her energy and enthusiasm and commitment to providing the friendly, personal service that FDC Law aims to provide to clients.”
Abigail is now focussing on Family work, including Divorce & Separation, Issues around Children, and Financial Issues, and Litigation, including Personal Injury and Debt Recovery. She is available to see clients in Midsomer Norton and Keynsham
