Solicitor of the Year Awards 2024
Granting someone Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) means that they can make decisions on your behalf if you are ever unable to do so yourself. Lasting Power of Attorney is a legal document that can cover decisions about your finances and property, as well as your health and personal welfare. Putting an LPA in place means that the people you trust most have the legal authority to act on your behalf when needed, giving you and your family peace of mind for the future.
Health and Welfare LPA
This LPA lets someone you trust make decisions about your care if you can’t. It can cover things like medical treatment, support services, and where you live. It only takes effect if you lose the ability to decide for yourself.
Property and Financial Affairs LPA
This LPA allows your chosen person to manage your money and property on your behalf. This includes paying bills, handling bank accounts, and dealing with income, investments, or property. You choose whether it starts straight away or only if you can no longer manage your finances.
