As you will recall, FDC Law has been a supporter and participant in the RUH Forever Friends Appeal’s ‘Make A Will Month’ initiative, donating our time and fees for preparing wills to the appeal. Over the past 2 years FDC Law has raised over £10,000.
This week, the appeal recognised our contributions by visiting us to present a plaque. The appeal made the following statement:
“The Forever Friends Appeal was delighted to officially present the solicitors from law firm, FDC Law, with their ‘Corporate Partner fundraising Plaque. This was to recognise their fantastic support over the past 2 years and raising £10,000 towards patient care. The three branches of FDC Law based in Frome, Midsomer Norton and Keynsham, first came on board in 2015 to support the RUH Will Month fundraising initiative and again in 2016. The Wills and Probate team gave their time for free to write over a hundred Wills during the September months and waived their fees to donate to the hospital’s charity.
Darrell Collins, Partner at FDC Law comments;“ We feel passionately about supporting the RUH through its charity, The Forever Friends Appeal, a s it serves our local community in the towns we operate from. I am very sure that the hospital has touched the lives of many of our clients and staff in the past, present and also in the future and therefore we feel giving our support through the Will writing scheme, helps to give something back as a way of saying thank you to the hospital on their behalf. It is such an honour to be recognised by the appeal for our involvement in this way.
In Memory and Legacy Officer for the Appeal, Jan Witt, comments “Recognising FDC Law Solicitor as one of our highly valued Corporate Partners and presenting a plaque to them as well as being acknowledged within the hospital, is our way of being able to say thank you for the wonderful support received over the years. We truly hope they will continue with their support through RUH Will Month each year that helps raise awareness to the public of the importance of having an up to Will and the benefits of using the local services of professional Will Writing.””
Needless to say, we at FDC Law are proud to have been able to support the hospital, and our local community, in this way.
