FDC Law raises over 6 thousand pounds for the RUH

Posted on 29th November 2017

FDC Law’s Private Client department are pleased to have supported the Royal United Hospital’s (RUH) Forever Friends Appeal for the third year and the first since we became Corporate Partners for the charity.

All the lawyers in the department waived their professional fees for writing Wills during September and instead asked clients to make a donation towards the Forever Friend’s appeal.  FDC Law feels this is a popular initiative and that many of our clients are appreciative and grateful for the hard work of the RUH.

We have not been disappointed by the popularity of the scheme and this September all our three offices in Frome, Keynsham and Midsomer Norton were inundated with enquiries for appointments for RUH scheme Wills. We are extremely grateful to our clients and the local community for helping us to raise money for this fantastic charity once again.  Having raised over £10,000 over the last two years we are delighted to have raised a further £6,595 this year.

FDC Law have been thanked by Jan Witt, the Legacy Officer for the RUH who said “Your help in writing Wills to support our fundraising scheme raising vital funds to help care for patients at the RUH is truly appreciated.  I cannot thank you enough”.  FDC Law commends Jan for her organisation of the scheme and tireless hard work for the RUH.  We will be proudly displaying in our offices the certificates we have received.

Darrell Collins, Partner and Head of the Private Client department at FDC law says: “The RUH is very important to our clients. We are very happy to have been able to support the RUH again this year.”
